Useful Macro Tips

by Bittype

Thanks to d4sh for telling me about this.

With the addition of CR2 the attack abilities are no longer a part of the hot bar, and must be placed there manually. This is all well and good however in the heat of battle you do not always have time to hunt you hot bar for the appropriate attack.

This short guide will show you how to remove the need to find the Power, Speed, Grab, Block, and Withdraw attacks.

First place each attack on your hot bar for example slots 1-5 on bar 17 then create a Macro for each. To use the order listed above we would type  </macro p /use 1, 17> Do not include the <> then hit enter.

(For a more in depth explanation of creating a macro the the Macro guide HERE)

This will create a macro in an available slot directed at the Power attack, for the Speed we create a macro in the same way but call it /sp and targeted at slot 2 bar 17 (to use the example above) Create a macro for each attack naming them g for Grab, b for Block, and w for Withdraw.

It doesn't much matter on which hot bar the macros go. Once you have created your macros you will be able to activate you attacks by typing /<macro name> and hitting enter. For example /p ENTER will activate the Power attack, you may use any name you wish for these macros but as I have listed them here the new commands would be :-

/p for Power

/sp for Speed

/g for Grab

/b for Block

/w for Withdraw

You can also use this type of macro command for changing clothes, create a macro as described in Revolts guide then create a new macro targeted at the first macro.. For example you create a macro called Party to put on your party clothes, then create a macro which targets that macros location and call it say pa. I.E. your Party macro is on slot 4 bar 12, so you new macro would be something like /macro pa /use 4, 12   Now all you have to do is type /pa and hit ENTER and presto you have activated your Party Macro.

The only drawback to using macros in this way is that you have to create 2 macros for each item you wish to make a / command for. the exception being the attacks mentioned above. The first macro tells MxO what to do and the second creates the / command.
